GREENLAND KAYAKS' frame designer is Jens Peter Kielsen, carpenter by training, kayaker by birth in the outer islands of South Greenland.

GREENLAND KAYAKS manager is Baldvin Kristjansson, a former BCU coach with 40+ kayak expeditions around the world, including Greenland, the Antarctic, Spitzbergen, Iceland and Kamchatka.

Our original HQ is in Qaqortoq, a beautiful South Greenland town of 3500 people, the launching point for all expeditions in the Cape region. In 2010 we moved our frame construction to another beautiful frontier town; Isafjord in the Westfjords of Iceland, 180 Nm from Greenland's East Coast, the world's best kayaking wilderness! The skin, Avataqs and other sewing is done in Sweden, while some of the assembly takes place in a beautiful part of Norway.
